Know Who You Are Traveling With

When we booked our trip, we thought that we had booked it out of DC; however we soon realized our actual place to lift off was in Baltimore, an hour North (at least we figured it out before we ended up going to the wrong airport entirely). Luckily, Shirley (Kristen’s mom) and Lori (Kristen’s aunt) were able to bring us up and took us out for the night. Although Kristen is used to traveling with her wonderful mother by now, Brittany was able to enjoy the full experience- times two, since Shirley and her sister are pretty much one in the same person. And let’s just say Brittany enjoyed it quite a bit ;)

Besides the constant questions and bathroom stops on our short (but at some points what seemed like forever) road trip, it was quite fun and filled with laughter after many wrong turns and the consistent talk of food.

To say the least, we had a great time and it was a successful start to our trip. We ate A LOT, took A LOT of pictures, and did a little shopping. However, we also learned that it is very important to travel not only with someone you love, but also with someone who travels the way you do. (Sadly, Shirley and Lori you didn’t make the cut for Ireland, but you were great one-day traveling partners and we will always remember the trip)
